TELUS mobile email is an email solution that works with your business and personal email accounts to provide you with real-time access to email
What you can do
There are three implementation options for TELUS mobile email:
- Internet Email – real-time access up to four business or personal email accounts
(POP or IMAP) from your wireless device.
- TELUS Desktop
Redirector - an end user-managed solution where the Desktop Redirector
software is installed on your desktop. No IT support is required.
- TELUS Enterprise
Server - an IT-managed solution where the TELUS Enterprise Server
is installed behind a company’s secure firewall.
What you need
To use TELUS mobile email, you will need:
- TELUS Wireless Handheld PDA such as:
- Email & Web plan for your PDA
- One of the following email accounts:
- Internet email account (POP or IMAP) such as. MSN Hotmail, Gmail, AOL or TELUS.net
- Microsoft® Exchange® or Lotus Domino® corporate email account (including calendar and contacts)

What you pay
TELUS mobile email is included with your Talk & Email rate plan, Email & Web rate plan or Email and Web add-on.
Features
- TELUS mobile email uses a high rate of data compression, reducing data consumption by over 50% compared to other email applications.
- Supports up to four email accounts so you can have one corporate email address plus three additional email accounts (POP or IMAP).
- Get real-time IP-based push synchronization of email messages, calendar
events, and contact updates from your Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes
account. Your business information is “pushed” to the device as the
events occur, so you always have the latest information at your fingertips.
- Manage emails like you’re still at your desk – read, respond, forward,
delete and create email messages.
- All tasks performed through TELUS mobile email synchronize in real-time
with your desktop. No desktop synchronization is required when you return
to your office.
- Provides a high level of security for your confidential information
with end-to-end AES encryption.
- Search against the corporate address book using Global Address Lookup (GAL) tool available on your device.
- Access your corporate information while out of network coverage and
have it automatically synchronized when you return to network coverage.
- Receive and view email attachments. Depending on your device, you can also edit email attachments in their native format.
- On select devices you may also edit attachments – please refer to your device user manual to find out how.
- Compatible with popular corporate email platforms, including Microsoft®
Exchange® and IBM Lotus Domino®.
