Ringtones

 

Personalize your phone with your favourite ringtone. You can even assign unique ringtones to your contacts to identify who is calling you.

 

Downloading ringtones

There are a few ways you can download a ringtone to your phone:

 

• Using your mobile phone

You can download ringtones right on your mobile phone.

 

These are general instructions for most phones:

1. Access your phone’s main menu.
2. Select Shop.
3. Select the menu that lists Ringtones.
4. If necessary, select Ringtones.
5. Browse and select a ringtone you want.
6. Press OK to start downloading it to your phone.

• Using your mobile browser

You can also purchase ringtones using the browser on your phone.

1. If browsing for the first time, set up your browser:
   
   1. From your phone’s main menu, navigate to and select Wireless Web or your browser.
   2. If the Security not enabled message appears, select Yes. Do not shut your phone off as this process can take several minutes.
2. If your browser is set up, select Downloads Ringtones & Images.
3. From the menu, choose Ringtones.
4. Browse to preview the catalogue and purchase any ringtone.
5. Select Yes to download.

 

• From the TELUS webstore

Browse the webstore where you can preview ringtones before purchasing. Once you buy one, you will receive a text message that you can open to start downloading your ringtone to your phone.

To access the store, you need an online TELUS account. Register if you don't have one.

 

To download a ringtone from the webstore:

 

1. Log onto your online TELUS account, click Ringtones, and either start browsing or click Help.
2. If you click Buy to purchase a ringtone, make sure your mobile phone is on and you are in a coverage area to receive the text message containing the download.

 

Sign up to start receiving weekly alerts

Sign-up now and receive weekly alerts about new ringtones: text "new releases" or "featured artists" to 8888. Regular charges only apply when you choose to download a ringtone.

Troubleshooting

 

How many ringtones can I download on my phone?

The number of ringtones you can have depends on your phone’s internal and/or external memory and what other ringtones, images, games or music files you have on it. Consult your phone user guide to determine how much memory is available on your specific model.

 

Why doesn’t a ringtone I downloaded from another site work?

TELUS does not recommend using sites other than the TELUS webstore for downloading ringtones and is not responsible for fees charged by other sites, or damage incurred by your phone, while attempting to download content from other sites.

 

How do I manage my ringtones?

For more information about changing, deleting or assigning ringtones, consult the user guide for your phone.

 

Can I transfer the ringtones I download to another phone?

No, downloaded ringtones cannot be transferred to any other phone.
