Web activation

Activate your phone

If you receive a new TELUS handset, you can activate it online or by calling TELUS, regardless of whether you are a new or existing TELUS client.

You also save money as web activation has no fee compared to activating over the phone.

Activate your tablet

Monthly rate plans: You can activate a monthly rate plan at a TELUS store or by calling TELUS. Available for all 3G/4G/4G LTE tablets.

Prepaid iPad plans: You can activate a prepaid plan for iPad directly via your device. Available for iPad generation 1 and 2 only. Find out more about prepaid rate plans for iPad.


New to TELUS

To activate online, you need:

  • A new TELUS mobile phone or smartphone (PDA or BlackBerry)
  • An email address
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox with 128-bit encryption

As part of your activation, you will register for a TELUS account, which you'll use to manage your account.
