TELUS games

There are games for everyone at the TELUS webstore. You can use your phone or go to your TELUS account to access them. Register if you don't have one.

There are two types of games:

• Downloadable games, which you download and install onto your phone
• Web games, which you access using your phone’s Internet browser

Some games are multi-player while others are single player. Most multi-player games have “mp” in front of them. You will not be able to play multi-player games on airplanes because they require network access.

Storing downloadable games

The number of downloadable games you can store depends on your phone’s internal or external memory and the number of pictures, ringtones and other downloads you have on it. Typically you can fit more than 12 games.

Downloading games

After you purchase a game, you must download it to your mobile phone. To download a game:

1. From your phone’s main menu, navigate to and select Games.
2. Select Get New.
3. Choose the game from My Downloads and select Download now.

 

Playing games (first time)

1. From the main menu, navigate to and select Games.
2. If it is a multiplayer game, you will have to register and access the TELUS network.
3. For game-specific instructions, look for a Help key or in the game’s main menu.

Playing web games

You can play web games at any time using your mobile browser. In addition to any game charges, you will be charged for your web usage based on your plan. You can play web games in the US (roaming charges will apply).

1. Launch Wireless Web.
2. Choose Shop/Download.
3. Choose Web Games.
4. Follow the menus to choose the game you would like to play. Game prices will be listed beside each game (some are even free).

Troubleshooting

If your game did not download successfully from the webstore:

1. Turn your phone on.
2. Ensure you are in a TELUS digital service area within Canada.
3. Ensure your phone is security-enabled for Internet downloads:
   1. Press the Menu key
   2. Press 3 to select Wireless Web
   3. If you receive the "Security is not enabled” message, select YES to proceed and create a unique security key for your phone. This takes several minutes so do not shut off your phone.
4. Re-try your download.

 

What can I do if I run out of memory space on my phone?

If you run out of room, you can delete a game and re-download it another time.
