Recycling phones & batteries

We give where we live. Bring any mobile phone, battery or accessory, irrespective of carrier, in to your local TELUS store for recycling, and we'll plant a tree for FREE.

Recycling your phones and accessories will protect the environment by reducing the waste that goes into our landfills as well as hazardous materials from contaminating soil and groundwater.

Working in partnership with Tree Canada thousands of our team members will plant trees in communities across the country on our annual TELUS Day of Service.

Batteries will be recycled. The reclaimed nickel will be used to make stainless steel products while the cadmium will be recycled to make new rechargeable batteries.

Last year, our Return & Recycle Program collected over 40,000 phones. Let's make those numbers grow.
