Roadside Assistance is a chargeable feature that provides emergency automotive services to 3G and 4G postpaid and prepaid TELUS clients. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to customers traveling in Canada and the US, regardless of cellular coverage.
Roadside Assistance includes the following:
Help for almost any vehicle you're travelling in
Spare tire installation
Battery boost
Emergency fuel delivery
Lock-out service
Towing
Winching
Roadside Assistance is linked to your TELUS mobile phone. Anyone with your phone can get help.
The toll-free number can be reached from any phone in Canada and the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. However, prepaid phone coverage is available only in Canada, so make the toll-free call from another phone to obtain service in the U.S.
Prepaid accounts must have enough money for Roadside Assistance service to be added. If your prepaid account isn't topped up within 90 days of the suspend date or if your phone number is cancelled, your Roadside Assistance service will be terminated.
Roadside Assistance isn't a reimbursement program. Call the toll-free number for service.
Service is available for legally registered light passenger vehicles. RVs, motorcycles, boats, trailers, or vehicles with more than two axles or more than four wheels aren't covered. Vehicles designed or modified for commercial or heavy-duty use (such as limousines, emergency vehicles, public transportation vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks) aren't covered.
Service is not available for vehicles operating off road.
Included service is limited to five calls per enrollment year. After five calls, or for services not included, Roadside Assistance can arrange services at low commercial rates.
Winching services include extricating a vehicle from a ditch, mud, or snow, provided your vehicle has become stuck immediately adjacent to a regularly travelled road and the vehicle can be safely reached with standard service equipment.
Roadside Assistance covers towing for mechanical problems only. Towing isn't covered for accidents, misuse, fire, theft, vandalism, explosion, or damage caused by debris or weather-related phenomena.
If roadside service exceeds the maximum benefit of $50.00 ($100.00 for winching) per service call, you are responsible for the difference in cost at the time of service.
Roadside Assistance coverage becomes effective 72 hours after your enrollment.
While we try to respond promptly to your call, this service is not responsible for delays nor for extra expenses associated with such delays. This includes, but is not limited to, inconvenience, storage, payment for lost time, vehicle rental expense, lodging, meals, other travel costs or other miscellaneous expenses.
Fuel replenishment is available only if you've completely run out of gasoline or diesel.
Someone must be with your vehicle when service arrives.
You can cancel your participation in the program at any time.
Roadside Assistance coverage may be terminated or suspended for non-payment of your TELUS Mobility wireless bill.
The Roadside Assistance program for TELUS Mobility clients is provided by Asurion Roadside Assistance Services Inc.
Neither Asurion nor TELUS Mobility make any warranties as to actual response times on individual calls and are not responsible for service delays.
If you go from a prepaid to a monthly plan, you keep the value of any remaining full months on your annual Roadside Assistance account at the value of $4/month.
