My BlackBerry loses network connectivity and displays “SOS” at the top right hand corner of the device

If your BlackBerry® loses network connectivity and displays "SOS" in the network indicator, try the following.

Reset the network connection

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Select Open Tray.
  3. Select the All tab.
  4. Tap Manage Connections.
  5. Clear the Mobile Network checkbox.
  6. Wait at least 10 seconds.
  7. Tap the Mobile Network checkbox. A green checkmark appears.
Your network connection is reset.
