Airtime summary notification

Be on top of how many minutes you use, every week.

With airtime summary notification, you receive a weekly text message detailing how many minutes you have used and how many minutes you have left for the current billing month. There is a subscription fee and you also pay your regular rates for each text message.

Like other wireless carriers in Canada and worldwide, TELUS mobility bills airtime to clients from the moment network resources are used to either make or receive calls. Outgoing calls are billed from the time the caller initiates the call until the call ends. Incoming calls are also billed for the entire duration of the call, including the time it took to connect the call. We do not bill for any calls that are not connected.

Most current TELUS handsets support text messaging.

Coverage

Airtime summary notification is available anywhere within our extensive national digital 1X coverage area, except in these provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan. View coverage map

Appropriate monthly rate plan

All TELUS monthly subscribers are eligible, except for those on Family Talk or Add-a-line rate plans.


Get airtime summary notification

Airtime summary notification is available for $3/month subscription, plus the cost for text messaging. Text messaging is available as part of a package, or at pay per use rate of 15¢/message sent or received.

To get airtime summary notification, do one of the following:

  • Log into your TELUS account and add a package in self-serve*. Register if you don't have an account.
  • Call *611 on your TELUS handset.
  • Visit an authorized TELUS store. Find a store.

*The services available in self-serve depend upon your rate plan and handset model. If you don't see a service online, call TELUS by dialing 611 on your handset.
