BlackBerry® email

There are three email options, so you can pick what's best for your personal and/or work emails:

  • BlackBerry® Internet Service: Automatically get your POP3/ISP and Webmail email pushed to your smartphone with access to most attachment types.

  • BlackBerry® Redirector: Install this software on your PC running Microsoft Exchange to get your emails directed to your handset.Your PC, email program and this software must be running for your handset to receive emails. This software comes with your smartphone.

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server: Meant for large companies (30+ BlackBerrys®) so your IT administrator will have to provide enterprise activation password for you to set up your email account.

Setting up Blackberry® Internet service on your PC

Using your smartphone or computer, set up your email account(s). You can set up to 10 accounts and you can create a "@telus.blackberry.net" email.

To set up your addresses online, use the BlackBerry® Internet Service site.


Setting up email on your BlackBerry®

  1. Access email setup:
    • Look on the home screen for setup or email setup.
    • Launch the setup wizard and work your way to email setup screen and select I want to create or add an email address.
  2. Click next. The terms and conditions appear.
  3. Indicate that you've read and understand the conditions and click I agree.
  4. To set up an existing email address, enter it and its password.
  5. Click next and when prompted click OK.
  6. To create a new "@telus.blackberry.net" email address, click the appropriate option.
  7. Type the user name that you want for your new BlackBerry® email address, click next and click OK.
  8. Click log out or close.

Setting up Blackberry® Enterprise email

If your company uses the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server to set up your Microsoft Outlook®, IBM Lotus Notes®, or Novell GroupWise® work email account, your system administrator needs to provide you with an enterprise activation password.

  1. With that password in hand, launch the setup wizard on your handset.
  2. When you get to the email setup option, select I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry®Enterprise Server.
  3. When asked if you have the enterprise activation password, click yes.
  4. Enter your email and password.

Make changes to your phone

Log in to your account to make changes to your existing phone.
