Upgrade your mobile device during your contract

You can replace or upgrade your TELUS device at a discounted price during your contract.

With Clear and Simple Device Upgrades, you can replace your damaged device or upgrade to the next latest and greatest model by paying an upgrade fee based on the previous device discount you received.

What you need to know

TELUS discounts the cost of your device when you sign up on a one, two, or three year-term.

Simply pay the Early Device Upgrade fee and get a new device at full discount. This fee is calculated based on the discount you originally received when your contract began, and the number of months remaining in your contract. The longer you wait, the lower your fee.

NOTE: The Early Device Upgrade fee may be waived if you are at or near the end of your contract.

Eligibility

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Clear and Simple Device Upgrades program.

• You have a TELUS Postpaid account. If you have a TELUS Prepaid account, see how you can upgrade your phone.
• You are not upgrading for a second time during the first six months of your contract.
• You are credit qualified
  • You are not on the Credit Limit Program.
  • You are up to date with payments to your account.

Rates

The Early Device Upgrade fee is determined based on two factors.

• Number of months remaining on your current contract.
• The type of device you currently have.

Smartphone or Feature phone – with minimum data commitment	$10 x number of months remaining in contract
