Text messaging can be chosen as an option in the following rate plans:
Clear Choice™ Voice and Data Plans, Clear Choice™ Voice Plans

1 From your phone, you can send text messages to any wireless number in Canada and US, and to the following international destinations.
2 The option of sending text messages from a TELUS phone to email is available on picture & video messaging capable phones, by sending to email addresses as a picture & video message.
3 Text messages sent from your PC or Mac, using Send a Message telusmobility.com web portal are free of charge for the sender.

 

Terms and Conditions

Pay per use
Please refer to the pay per use pricing table. Premium messages are not included in the pay per use prices and are extra.

Monthly subscription
The charge for sending/receiving text messages is included in the price of monthly text packages: Text messaging packages, Feature packages, International text messaging packages, International roaming pass, Prepaid messaging packages; and if text messaging is chosen as an option, the charge is included in the price of the following monthly rate plans: Clear Choice™ Voice and Data Plans, Clear Choice™ Voice Plans, Clear Choice™ BlackBerry® Plans.

Pay per use prices (see pricing table) apply if you exceed the number of sent/received text messages allocated in your monthly subscription. Please check plan details.

Roaming and international charges
With the exception of subscribers to International text messaging packages, International roaming pass, roaming and international charges are not included in any other text messaging package or monthly rate plan, and will be charged on pay per use basis, as follows:

In addition to the charge for sending/receiving text messages that is included in the price of either your monthly text package or monthly rate plan subscription (see Monthly subscription):

• *Text messages originating in Canada:15¢ per message International charge applies for each text message sent to any International destination outside of Canada and US.
New! Save with International text messaging packages.
 • **Text messages originating in the US or an International country (anywhere outside of Canada): 60¢ per message roaming charge applies for text messages sent to Canada, US or any International destination, or received on your TELUS mobile phone while outside of Canada.

Prepaid subscribers: roaming services are available only on Prepaid messaging packages.

Premium messages
Premium messages priced at 20¢ are included for monthly text package or monthly rate plan subscribers (see Monthly subscription) and are deducted from the number of messages allocated in your plan. Roaming and international charges are extra (see Roaming and international charges). Premium messages priced over 15¢ are charged the full premium price, plus applicable roaming or international charges (see Roaming and international charges), and are not deducted from the number of messages allocated in your plan.
