As of April 2012, a new software is available for the BlackBerry Curve 9380.
The release of BlackBerry software v7.1.0.336, Platform 9.32.0.88, Bundle 1133 provides the following benefits and enhancements for your BlackBerry:
New features
- Mobile Hotspot – Blackberry users will now be able to create Wi-Fi hotspots to share their mobile network connection with up to 5 devices.
- NFC P2P – Easily share and exchange information/files between two BlackBerry Tag NFC-enabled devices with a simple ‘tap to share’. Delivered through a dedicated app called “Smart Tags.”
Improved features
- Search – Now features a universal search function combining local results and Web results from Bing Search, includes Auto-Suggestion for completing searches.
- Maps – Wi-Fi geo-location enabled, updated/simplified icons.
- Keyboard Improvements – Minor refinements and improved Auto-Suggest.
