Spending Limit program
With the Spending Limit program, you will receive a device with a $200 spending limit without having to pay a deposit.
How it works
- Use your device as normal, and keep it active by paying your bill every month and by keeping your total balance under $200. Your total balance includes your unpaid bill plus all up-to-date extra or overage charges, e.g. long distance, data, and minutes/texts over your rate plan allotment.
- When your monthly charges are billed, it is applied against your spending limit.
- To help you manage your account, you will receive a free text message warning when you reach 70% and 85% of your limit. At this point you should pay your balance down. You might not receive this text if you accrue your latest charges too quickly, but instead will receive a warning that you have exceeded your limit, and your service will be suspended very shortly if payment is not received.
- If you reach the total $200 balance owing, you will not be able to make or receive calls, except for two numbers: 911 for emergencies and 611 to pay your account. A $30 reconnection fee will apply.
- To reactivate your device when suspended for exceeding the limit, you will need to pay off your last bill plus any extra or overage charges over $100 incurred since your last bill.
- The limit can only be removed after 12 month on-time consecutive payments are made. You will be notified in this instance.
