What can you do?

Bring any mobile phone, battery or accessory, irrespective of carrier, in to your local TELUS store for recycling, and we'll plant a tree for FREE.

Protect

Recycling your phones and accessories help protect the environment. Hazardous materials are treated to prevent contamination of soil and groundwater, while excess materials are recycled to reduce landfill waste.

Give

As a proud partner and supporter of Tree Canada, a tree will be planted for every mobile phone recycled with TELUS.

We give where we live

At TELUS we’re passionate about keeping Canada green. In 2010, Tree Canada named TELUS a Centurion sponsor for contributing more than $1 million to their cause. As a proud partner of Tree Canada since 1998, TELUS has assisted in the planting of more than 230,000 trees in communities across the country. In 2010, TELUS gave over $260,000 and planted more than 60,000 trees. Tree-planting efforts primarily supported the Alberta Mountain Pine Beetle ReLeaf program and reforestation efforts in Rimouski, Quebec.

Other TELUS initiatives with Tree Canada have included:

Planting trees and shrubs in school grounds
Planting 13,000 trees to offset carbon
Planting trees on behalf of customers as part of our Summer and Holiday Perks program

TELUS will give $3 to Tree Canada for every mobile device recycled through the TELUS Return and Recycle program, with 266,535 mobile devices recycled since 2008.
