Wireless phones are regulated by federal government standards, which ensure
that wireless phones can be used safely by everyone. TELUS Mobility meets or exceeds
every standard governing both wireless phones and cell site installations.
Each of TELUS Mobility's wireless installations, or cell sites, are certified
to conform to Safety Code 6, a standard administered by Industry Canada. Safety
Code 6 sets out requirements governing the safe operation of wireless transmission
equipment.
Phones sold by TELUS Mobility meet the latest standards governing radio safety
levels. They meet SAR (specific absorption rate) standards set by Health Canada
and the Federal Communications Commission in the U.S.
